Yeah, just watch a video on inspecting a used bike to check over the components, but it’s a great deal. Also make sure it’s the right size for you

Sanction specifics: check the floating bottom bracket block for play, there are DU bushings and not bearings used in original builds on a small link called dogbone, which are susceptible to wear quite fast. It’s not a deal-breaker but worth keeping in mind. Also, the original dogbone can be replaced with an aftermarket one which use bearings and are trouble-free. Google “GT sanction dogbone”.
Other minor gotcha is that the maximum seatpost insertion depth is 190mm which significantly limits dropper post choice, unless you are OK with an elevated seatpost stackup above the collar (you can’t really slam the seat unless you use a short seatpost).
Rear shock size is 216mm x 63.5mm which limits the choice of available modern shocks, in case you want to replace it at some point.
I’ve owned a sanction since 2018 and it is overall a nice bike not without it’s flaws. The price seems to be reasonable unless there are any major flaws

Yes, its a good bike for the money. Its a big burly bike, def geared towards descending.
