Abgunstes manor is a historical manor in the county of Jelgava. The manor was originally built in the late 18th century and is an example of classicist architecture. It once belonged to the Baltic German aristocracy and was part of the larger system of manorial estates in Latvia.
The manor is situated in a picturesque setting, surrounded by lush nature and parkland, offering a glimpse into the historical grandeur of Latvian aristocratic estates. Over the years the manor has gone through several changes and while it’s not as widely known or visited as some of Latvia’s more famous manors, it still holds historical value.
It is now a hotel and a great venue for weddings f.e.

Zalenieki:
Primarily known for its rural charm, with a peaceful environment that reflects the traditional Latvian countryside. Located in the historical region of Zemgale. It has a notable landmark, the Zalenieki manor, which dates back to the 18th century. It’s known for its classicist architecture and beautiful surrounding park. It’s history is tied to the Baltic German nobility.
It now offers catering options. For a tour of the manor you need to make prior arrangements.

Zagare(Lithuania):
The beginning and end of this trip located in Siauliai county, is situated directly at the Latvian-Lithuanian border. Known for its historical significance, with traces of medieval architecture and a rich cultural heritage. The town has a quiet, rural atmosphere and is home to several notable landmarks, such as the Zagare manor which dates back to the 14th century. Additionally, Zagare has a history of Jewish presence, with a Jewish community that once was an important part of the town’s local fabric.
