Hello, I recently changed the shift cable on my Sora gears and in doing so pulled the knob of the cable into the shift lever. It is now stuck there. Does anyone have any experience with how to dismantle the shift lever or any other tips on how I can get it out again.

I think dismantling the shifter further is going to make things worse.
Is the cable still in the shifter and under tension or is it just the cable end cap that’s jammed in there?
Personally, I’d get a small flathead screwdriver and gently loosen and lever the end cap out.

These are not intented to be dismantled. You can take some things off, mainly plastic covers but that’s it. As for you cable : get a set of dental picks and fish it out of here. It sucks and can take a long time. Be sure to get all the tiny strands out
