Let me get this straight. Is Jorgenson not allowed to defend his title?
What's the point of a GC rider if you don't let him take shots like these? Especially if your sprinter doesn't even get into the top 10 or something in the sprint that does end up happening. I know it isn't that black and white but not letting riders take chances if they have them is terrible for their moral. Cyling is already a very special sport in that athletes do not give their all if they can but stuff like. Sometimes you gotta take the chances you get not the ones you wish for I feel like especially if the risk isn't that big. The only reason I could see is that they were afraid that the peleton would chase those 3 down at such a pace that they would drop their sprinter. But if that is the case your chances at winning or a good result are already bad no?

A lot of GT teams are so inflexible with changing their plan from before the race based on conditions on the road. A big weakness of a lot of DSs.

I do enjoy these videos but I dont really get the comments hating on the broadcaster commentary. The commentary is happening live. Those are reactionary commentary. Live footage are not highlights. It's a little easier to review the footage and be able to pause/rewind and do a bit of research to provide insight. I think these videos are providing insight into reasons why moves are made and what riders might be thinking. I feel it would be a different game if Lanternrouge was doing it live. Also the stamina required for broadcaster commentary has to be taken into account. Talking for 2 hours and knowing what's going on in the moment is a different game.
