Yes.
There isn’t much but there IS lateral movement of the chainring and you will damage your chainstays.
Mount it on the other side of the spider and your problem is solved
I wouldn’t be comfortable with that.
Is the chain line really bad if you have the chainring on the outside of the mounts instead of the inside?
Yes
Ahhh, this one is for me chaps and chapettes, so I bought a new crankset that dipped into the frame slightly so I bought an m35 x 2mm washer because I really didn’t want to buy another crankset or bottom bracket, hope it helps.
I’d say move the chainring or get a different bottom bracket. Almost no clearance without a chain 🥺

3mm seems to be the minimum everyone agrees on
