I’m trying to dip my toes into a couple of easy overnighters this summer before I commit to buying a nicer bike.
Currently riding my old Trek 4500 hard tail and I’m having trouble installing a rear rack that I bought (the basic Ibera model). I can’t really see any way to get this installed since the mounting arms clash with the frame. Is there some other style of rear rack I should be looking for? The design of the disc version of the rack looks like it might clear the frame but hoping the experience on this sub can point me in the right direction.
I see others do ok without a rear rack so that’s something I’m also open to.
