Check pawn shops or craigslist. I got a cheap Walmart bike for $30 I used for years. Just need a new chain.
By “visitors” I’m assuming you run a track or park or something is on your property of sorts. So if this is the case, you should consider liability. If this bike is built cheap and you get a rowdy visitor, you may be ok for some financial issues or lawsuit.
So I guess the question will be “cheap out now and potential long term hurt? Or pay more now and save more long term.”
But I have no info and this is speculation.

Walmart race bike is an oxymoron.
You can get a ‘real’ used race bike for not much more than that. It’ll be like 10x higher quality and will last forever if you take care of it.
