I think you can still use the screw. You should easily find a do it yourself project around the house.

I’ve had that happen. (once in tens of thousands of miles in my life) I could not pull it out and my wife had to come pick me up.
I pulled the screw at home and filled the hole with JB Weld, smoothed it and put it back together. Worked fine for years after.
Don’t go nuts and create a lopsided lump, just put a bit at a time, let is harden some and fill a bit more.

dont yank the screw out. gently unscrew the screw, check as long theres no horizontal long crack, and patch the hole. n ride it
