Maybe take a hacksaw to them? I really don’t know, i’m not in your league so they are somewhat scary to me as I’ve only used them once on a friends bike and they scared me due to my lack of control and I felt SUPER twitchy.

  2. Find a machinist to bore out the clamps on the handlebar side.

Or find a set of handlebars that the extension bars can fit on, plus a stem the right size, or a shim to reduce the clamp of your current stem.

I see some great ideas and I didn’t check if they were still in stock but I just ordered 31.8mm adapters for mine a few years ago direct from profile. Probably like $15 shipped.

I mean why hacksaw or do other stuff when it’s just a bottom plate and longer screws?

I think the only way would be to change your stem and bars to 26.8 (and are you sure it’s 26.8? The standard sizes were 25.4mm and 26mm). You could also keep your stem but change the bars to 26mm and use a shim at your stem. Finding “gravel” bars in 26mm is going to be tricky though.
