In this week’s episode of the JYU for YOU podcast, we are joined by our friend Juliana Campos from Brazil who tells us her, somewhat untypical, story of how she discovered Finland and the University of Jyväskylä.
We learn what it is like to study in the Development Education and International Cooperation (DEICO) Programme at JYU: when and where are the classes held? How easy is it to find housing? Who can help you with the various bureaucratic tasks that come with moving to a different country? Where do you get cheap winter clothes? It might sound overwhelming at times, but Juliana assures us that there are people at JYU whose job it is “to make your life easier.”
Most importantly, for our recent applicants, Juliana explains how she prepared for her interview and shares relevant details about the actual interview process. She encourages students to reach out to professors, alumni and anyone else they think could help them learn more about JYU and the programme of their dreams!
Want to learn more about JYU? Take the first step and check out Juliana’s story on YouTube, Spotify, Soundcloud or wherever you get your podcasts.
