Nice! I’ll be doing the same in another month or so. You can do some bike packing out the W&OD trail to Leesburg, then South to various places in Loudon County. But the DC area (I’m in NOVA near Dulles airport) is pretty congested so it makes for some difficult bike packing out-the-door. The C&O and W&OD will be your primary jumping off points for all points West.
