This is my almost- finished winter commuter build. I was initially planning on having it done way back in December-ish but…. that didn't happen. This bicycle, with its stainless steel tubes and aluminum lugs, seems to have been marketed largely to coastal towns, where it's corrosion resistance would shine. I figured it may make a decent commuter bike here in the salt belt but I don't really know if it'll even end up seeing much winter at this point in the year.

I added the thumb shifters, as down tube shifters didn't make sense with the bars that are on it. I swapped to 700c wheels and stuck on some sorta knobby gravel kings- the ideabis that they will be more capable in light snow and slush, but I don't know if that's realistic and I imagine ice would still be a concern. Also added some nice new brake pads, cable and cable housings.

It still needs some fenders, and the rear derailleur for some reason struggles to get into the largest gear, even with the limit screw entirely backed off. This RD didn't originally mount to a claw, so I don't know if that's part of it or not. I'm also not sure how I feel about the bars yet, I'm much more used to drops.
