I’d be really surprised if someone was making fake vitus bike frames. Don’t get me wrong, they’re good bikes, but they don’t have the brand strength of say Bianchi, Specialized, Colnago or Look which counterfeiters usually go for.
~~I’ve never seen those brake levers before though.. anyone know what they are because they look different to all levers I’m aware of.~~
Edit: They’re ultegra hoods.
Edit2: I don’t think this bike is fake, but I don’t think it’s stock. Those brake levers are quite old now. The handlebars don’t look stock either.
I also don’t think anyone is faking Vitus frames.
The Bike is still a hodgepodge…
The Shifters are ancient, the brake rotors are actually pretty new (the current Ultegra ones I think), there is a YBN chain on the bike (here in Europe we don’t see them very often) and last but not least, the chainring isn’t actually a 1x Chainring but just a small one of a 53-39 crank (no narrow wide profile and Shimano doesn’t make a 39 tooth 1x chainring).
