**Absolutely** not.
First of all, that SRAM group is 10 years old. *Maybe* this would be worth 4k with the brand new Red in hydraulic disc and wireless electronic shifting, *maybe.* But *absolutely* not worth that much with this ancient group set on it.
Also, this bike will be problematic. Good luck finding bearings or a replacement BB should anything go wrong. And, if you ever need a new crank, you are shit out of luck. Either that, or you pay Hambini however many thousands of dollars to custom build you a BB that can accept a modern crank.
Seat post assembly is problematic too.
As is, even in new condition, this is like… shit, $1500? Max $1500, and you’d be taking a big risk… like a $1500 risk.
This is a cool bike, for sure. That crank is cool, the frame is cool, that red group is probably the lightest group that will ever be made. But, its simply not worth that much, and the frame could end up being problematic should you need to find service parts for it, mainly, seat post, BB, and crank.
Take a look at eBay for comparables. There’s a look 695 frame for $1k.
You might be able to piece together used components and still build up a sub 15lb bike for less than the cost of this bike if that’s what you’re going for
Absolutely not. Everything on that bike is outdated by a decade.
It’s a cool bike. If you like rim brakes, it’s probably a great ride. But you’d be nuts to pay that kind of money for it.
Nah. Too much specially since you’d have to buy the wheels. If it came with the zipp wheels it’d still be questionable but at least somewhat attractive because of the wheels.
That’s worth the price only with the Zipps!! Cool bike for sure but the seller is trying to recoup a significant % of what they paid for it cos they probably barely rode it and it’s in new condition.
No way. $600 max.
No bike with rim brakes worth $4k anymore.
I ❤️ rim brakes. They are easy to work on and replace. And I’ve yet to kiss a tree, or a car that decided to stop for no reason.. Don’t get me wrong, i get it, disc brakes=better, quicker stopping power. Not arguing. Just give me a bike with Reynolds 853 tubing and a Shimano Dura Ace grupo and I am fine.
Very cool bike. Definitely overpriced. The language the seller uses in the listing is stereotypical of someone trying to sell something more than it’s value… “if you know you know.”
It is a work of art tho
