I’m scheming some rides in April
Will be unemployed as of April 1st (this ain’t no joke) and am thinking of spending a couple of weeks rambling with my bike. Tentative route is pictured. Mostly long day rides from my Toyota Sienna base camp but some overnights too.
I’m still in soft winter shape but I’ll get back up to speed quick I hope. Anyone out there wanna ride with me? Have any spots to recommend or avoid as a female cyclist?
Will likely be on a salsa cutthroat

I have nothing to add other than I am slightly jealous. Utah should be a good time!
Looks awesome! Start/end in Boi?
I love this. I hope you have an amazing time
I’m a fledgling gravel cyclist so don’t know the route availability, but having made several similar Boise > NorCal road trips: going that far and not seeing the Redwood area and coast is criminal!
Oof, I feel you. This almost feels like two separate trips. Maybe do an Utah/Nevada desert trip & a NorCal/coast trip another time. I might have 2 weeks before a new job starts, might have months..
Dope idea! If you’re in Reno and need to cut your trip short, there’s tons to ride and see across i80 Nevada. Ely and ruby mountains have some great gravel riding. Find the bikepacking Nevada social media account for additional ideas. Happy cycling!
Be careful on those desert dirt roads, conditions can be quite shitty.
