Don’t need this bike perfect but I found it on the side of the road for free and am fixing it up trying to spend as little money as possible on it. Would it be worth it to try and get this fixed or not worry about it? Don’t need it perfect just safe. Also yes it is rubbing on the pads
Is this too out of true to be safe?

No. I’ve seen worse that was rode for miles.
Usually you want to look at the rim to see if it’s true or not, cause sometimes the tire is the culprit. Even if it’s the rim wobbling I wouldn’t be too worried. It’s not enough to be dangerous, but it still can be worth it to adjust it so that the brakes will work properly.
You could roughly true it yourself with just a spoke wrench. There are plenty of guides on YouTube on how to true a wheel without a truing stand. With it rubbing on the brake pads you’ll wear them out a little quicker and it’ll be a bit of an extra workout. Depends on location but somewhere around $40 is what a shop would charge
Thanks for the replies lads much appreciated
Just don’t be bombing hills and you’ll be fine. Probably shouldn’t count on any hard braking.
