You have a good technique, you just need to enhance it.
Practice pulling the bars up to your chest without hopping to get comfortable with how vertical you can get.
Once you’re comfortable doing so, try letting your weight drop as low as possible, then explode upwards as fast as you can. If you combine both of these, you should be able to get the back wheel off the ground just by lifting the front up to your chest.
The rest is just refinement, you already have a good understanding of how to hop based on the video.
If you start constantly getting sacked by the back tire, tuck the bike to the side to go even higher.

Practice practice practice. You’ll slowly build up shoulder muscle which will help you.
