As a little side trip from cycling in the Netherlands a small look into cycling in Germany. Some images from Berlin, Cologne and the country side in North Rhine-Westphalia. From where we return to the Netherlands.

Cycling in Germany looks to be 'in-between'. Both infrastructure wise and rates of cycling. Far from the high quality infrastructure in Holland, but yet significantly better than conditions in the USA/UK/Australia.
Nice work! If you don't mind my asking, what camera do you use?
You should have visited Münster!
come to Bristol uk…you won't come out alive….or you'll die from laughter.
Geil! 🙂
I took a bike tour of Cologne recently to explore the breath-taking sights and sounds! In a word: AMAZING (hospitality, people, food, beer) The trip was amazing right from the moment I stepped on the Lufthansa flight there. Check it out bit.ly/1tgq9cP
Infrastructure is not very goodin Berlin (pretty bad actually), but cardrivers in Germany are not so aggressive as in Great Brittan.
Ace pic!
Hey mate I watched this video ages ago and again today. Great vid!
I was in Cologne the other day and if you don’t see the bike lanes on the foot path you’d get run over by the cyclists
Hi,
Does anyone recognize the song playing from 01:41 to 02:15 ?
Thanks!
I feel myself secure to ride in Berlin. Much more as in Chartres or Paris.
'Allemagne…zero points'…
not one helmet
QUE BELEZA, AI, SE NO BRASIL FOSSE ASSIM😈😈😈😈😈😈😈
Wow 4:09. Great. Where is that bike lane?? Than I've read Netherlands….
0:15 Pickelhaube
0:15 and 1:46
Could someone tell me the name of the melody he is playing?
This video speaks for itself. Germany lacks the sophistication of the Netherlands when it comes to bike-infrastructure.
I love Berlin from India
Great to see how organized everything is
We had a great time cycling in the south-east of Bavaria (between Bad Griesbach, Schärding and Bad Füssing). Fully seperated bicycle paths and pleasant cycle routes from village to village with lot's of tunnels under major roads. We were only spposed to have access to bicycles on one day of the week but our hotel was friendly enough to grant us them whenever we wanted.
We need this in the UK. Come on Boris sort this out.
Frankfurt would be the best in terms of car drivers and also the roads and even their infrastructure nobody else can compare it unless and until I moved Netherlands and see how they have done over movie you can see how bad are the UK drivers are and this video is very old so forget about it I think only because this video was all you guys think that you're managed infrastructure is bad however when you move two properties or even not so like towns to find out Germany something different
I'd love to see some more in-depth videos on the cities you showed here. Like the videos you did for the Dutch cities and St. Petersburg. Those analysis-type videos are my favorite content on this channel.
A lot has changed in Berlin, because of Corona. The city is building some „biycycle-highways“ and wider bike-lanes. Even now in december I can see a lot of people riding their bike. I think the people in Berlin are also riding their bikes as some kind of protest. Like everything in berlin is…i guess. But there are more and more cyclist and I am really enjoying the change on my daily way to work.
It's seven years ago but Berlin… Oh man no. Good you showed some other examples. Here at my place in germany we have a more or less good infrastructure where there is always space for bikes.
Still quite a bit of danger for bicycle users- children, older folk, and other vulnerable users.
Berlin.. thats a shithole.
Bike rideing is the best times of my life it’s truly a good feeling
