Been practising my 360’s for the past few days at different skateparks, but either I always land 90°, 180° or 270° and rarely 360°s, any tips on how to learn? (Started riding in February 2023)
Most people have the exact same problem that means they don’t make it the full 360, it’s really simple to explain, but surprisingly hard to actually do. You just need to pull your back wheel up during your spin.
Notice how when you spin, your front wheel always stays up higher than the rear wheel, that’s why you land rear wheel first, and either don’t make it round, or pivot on the back wheel. Do a high fly out or a bunny hop and pay attention to how you level the bike out in the air, this is essentially what you need to do during the 360.
Basically when you hit around 180, focus on getting the back wheel up towards you, rather than trailing behind, I’ve heard people describe it as humping the bars to bring the back up, but for me I think about scooping the back wheel up with my feet. It looks like that extra bit of height and time before your wheel touches the ground should be enough to get you round.
