first time buying a real mtb, came across this on marketplace the other day and thought it seemed like a really nice bike
i got some more information out of him than what’s on the listing, the fork is a lyrik select and the rims are WTB rims, with maxxis assegai tires in the back and hutchinson tires in the front
it’s a medium frame size and i’m meeting up with him on sunday just so i can try the sizing of the bike to see if i like how it fits
for reference im 5’6-5’7 and ~120lbs
would this be a good deal or could i find a better value bike for around the same price/same value for cheaper?

I think that’s worth it. I saw Jensen USA is doing some good sales on suspension forks so you could probably get a good one for a good price. I ride a Nukeproof mega and it’s been great.
I sold one with a similar build spec last year for $1000…. I’d say it’s an OK deal as there have been killer deals on new bikes lately.
