With so much bad news coming out of Ukraine, it’s inspiring to see something positive: cycling is growing as a practical and sustainable mode of transport. High fuel prices, damaged infrastructure, and congestion have made bicycles a key solution—but this shift isn’t just temporary. Policymakers and urban planners are now prioritizing cycling infrastructure, and Ukraine’s National Transport University has even introduced a new course on bike-friendly city planning.
