It’s a rather old bike with dated components. But if it rides, shifts and brakes and is your size… it’s cheap enough to try it
You can get a brand new one with disc brakes for £370, so it seems pretty overpriced given it’s going to be at least 5 years old.

For a budget beginners bike maybe look for a 2nd hand Decathlon Triban?
