Thinking about taking this gravel bike out for a 2-3 day trip in New Mexico! It’s a Intense 951 Gravel Bike – carbon fiber, 40mm tires. Probably going to get some bigger tires and going tubeless, anything else I should consider?

Im not sure what’s going on with your front brake hose but that does not look good. You should consider fixing that
Edit: actually scratch that. I am sure what’s going on and while it’s not necessarily a safety issue, you should still consider routing your hose differently than what it’s like at the moment.

Same answer for every one of these “will my bike work” questions- it all comes down to how you define bikepacking. Something tells me you don’t have a 90 mile single track loop in mind and are going to be doing mostly road/gravel/some single track. You will be fine. Go.

where in new mexico? it’s a big state with a lot of variety. if you’re sticking to forest roads and aren’t carrying much, it’ll be fine. if you’re doing the monumental loop, you’re gonna have a bad time without mountain bike tires.
i’ve only ridden the gdmbr route through the state and while it’s pretty damn rough in the gila and north of vallecitos, you could manage with 40mm tires.

Loosen your stem bolts and turn your front fork 360 degrees counterclockwise
