Goal is training for triathlons and general riding for fun and health and cross training: I haven’t done a triathlon yet but am planning on doing an Olympic, then Half Iron, then full Ironman.
Money is the main question for me. $3700 or $5200
I’m not loaded $, but have enough for either. Is the aeroad potentially worth $1500 more?
I already have power meter pedals (gravel favero). But aeroad comes with power meter.
Aeroad has potential to purchase and expensive tri bar attachment, which could be helpful.
I’m not too interested in ordering a strictly Triathlon bike bc that’s a lot of money to drop for something so specialized.
All my opinions are open to change and I understand that I am in a spot where I don’t know exactly what I want/need.
I currently have a nice older Electric shifting road bike.

if you’re serious about it, go for Aeroad brother
Aeroad
For those that say Aeroad: why is it REALLY worth $1.5k more in a practical sense.
Tri bikes are super aero, and I’m assuming that’s on purpose. So I’d go for the Aeroad.
The look of the ultimate is timeless – also, it rides like a dream and yeah I tested both.

Obviously the more expensive one
