Are you sure it’s just paint damage? Kind of looks like it was punched by something circular rather than just chipped. $100 isn’t enough for peace of mind for me. I’d swap it out.

send it back. Orbea have had a few issues with shitty paint recently and they need to know.

  3. My man, I’ve wrecked hard my fair share of times and never had something look like that.

    Nope, I’d send that back.

Is that just a paint chip? Damn that’s seems hella thick. Thin the paint and save the watts.

Return this bike if you can. It’s shit

I’ve had 2 last week to service, both with loose rear wheels and some damage to components because apparently Orbea forgot how to design reliable way to connect chainstays and wheel to the rest of the bike.

Also they creak and flex like crazy. And god forbid you forget to lock the suspension up while pedaling off seat uphill.

If you got a really good deal that will be hard to get again, think about living with it.

If you paid close to full price or the deal you got can be had again, send it back.

  7. Send it back. Either they’ll offer a bigger discount or at least you’ll have a bike with no paint chip. They’re paying shipping 3 times if you send it back and then they have to sell that bike at a discount so trust me they’re lowballing you as of now

thanks everyone I have decided to send it back. It is not worth the risk as it pretty deep and they still have another they can send me.

Been riding for 30 years and never come close to that type of damage. Just concerned about warranty when and if I need it

  9. No way I’d keep it. Whatever hit it, looks like it nearly punched all the way through. Send it back.

Is there a hole in the box where the frame sat? It could be shipping damage.

  10. Pretty sure it’s insured, they can just file a claim.
I wouldn’t take $100 lol maybe $500, just put some JB weld and some touchup paint

$100 and some touch up paint and it’s all gravy. You’ll have the same marks in more places given enough time and now you have free money
