Looking to buy my 1st bike for the wife & I. Comfort, value of parts, and smooth riding experience is priority one. The Trek shift 2 is maybe 9yrs old but seems to be in good shape price is 500 for both or we can get Trek Verve 2 Gen4 900 for the pair at the local Trek shop. I also have my eye on a Giant Cypress 2 but retails at $770 thanks for the help

The second red Trek is my choice deffo! Looks like it has better components them being thumbshifters instead of twistgrip and disc brakes instead of rim. Overall it’s a newer bike aesthetically and partswise and the painjob makes the bike look MILES better than the other silver. But hey my opinion
Yeah, I’d also go for the newer pair. Disc brakes, properly set up are good investments, as are non-twist-grip shifters.
