Today, I went for my fourth ride on my fairly new Endurace CF SLX 8 bike. This week, I switched my Fixik saddle for a Selle Italia SLR TM Boost.
During the ride, I started hearing a clicking or ticking sound that matched my pedaling speed. It doesn’t seem to be caused by anything rubbing against my bike frame. Strangely, I only hear the sound when both of my hands are on the hoods. I can’t hear it when I sit up straight or when my left foot is unclicked from the pedal. Nor do I hear it with only one hand is on the hoods which made videoing this rather difficult.
Could this be caused by the infamous creaking noise people talk about with the VCLS 2 seat post? Or might it be because I didn’t use grease or paste on the new saddle's rails? I’ve never done that before. It seems related to the saddle, but I would love to get some thoughts from others.

I had a ticking noise in the beginning and it was because I didn’t grease my pedals enough when I put them on. I genuinely couldn’t figure out what I was till a friend greased them and I went away. Don’t have any experience with saddle creaking, sorry if that doesn’t help at all 😀
