    With the full carbon frame and fork and 11-speed Ultegra, I’d say that’s a fair price. As a beginner, those Mavics will be fine, but a wheel upgrade will make a big difference.

  2. That’ll do for starters, for sure. You might want to get a bike mechanic’s opinion on it first. Reasonable price…

    Bit expensive for a 12-year-old+ bike. The Ultegra groupset on that bike is 10-speed 6700 which is 3 generations ago (since then Ultegra has gone through 6800 11sp, R8000 11sp and now R8100 12sp).

    If you can talk the price down to $700CAD it might be a decent deal.

    Great looking bike. Price is fair but I’d try to go a little lower. It’s a proper road bike that’s well equipped assuming the drivetrain is in good shape. That bike is not going to be holding the rider back other than its inability to fit wider tires. I wouldn’t hesitate to do big road miles on that thing.
