I don't know much about these specialized road bikes but I am pretty excited about this one. My camera is terrible I apologize lol. Here's what I know about it… Its from 93. Nothing is seized I checked when I cleaned it up. It had a 2015 dated receipt stapled to it from a local shop where I live that said it was serviced, they bought a kickstand, and bar tape and had them put on. And new tires. I think that was all done and it just sat in a garage or something for mad long. The bar and stem aren't original I don't think. The bar is a sakae modolo. Paramount bottle cage. Clipless Shimano pedals I'm going to replace for a flat/strap setup. What would you do with this bike ? I'm interested to see what y'all think and how u would build it up differently if at all. I cleaned it up and rode it around the block it hauls ass and rides like a dream. There's no fender/rack mounts. Thanks hope everyone's having a great day!

Awesome bike.
Just one thing to think about, the carbon fiber tubes are glued into the lugs. And they had some issues with them coming spontaneously unglued, at least they did in the model years before this one (I saw it happen myself once).
There are people who have old ones and ride them around to this day, so it’s not inevitable. But if it was me I wouldn’t be able to stop thinking about it as I rode around. Maybe best to limit your riding to like bike paths and parks and whatnot, so in case there is a spontaneous disassembly, the results would be less severe.
Very nice. I usually just flat/riser bar these for comfort and ride them gently given the age. Also the frame/fork can often limit you to 25mm wide on these old bikes, so unless the path is seamless, this usually slows me down to take in the scenery as well.
