Are either of these bikes worth it?

I’m training for my second century on my hybrid bike and I want to upgrade to a road bike. I don’t have a big budget right now, so I’m looking at used bikes exclusively.

First bike’s description:
Hardly used. Size 58. Tires say 700×23. MADONE 2.1 C H2 58 BK-CH

Second bike’s description :
lightly used road bike. probably 2-3 years old. retail was $2100. custom built, just tuned, and rides great. size 60 frame.

Is there anything I should be looking for so that I don’t get scammed?
