I’m new to biking and want to get something used, I found a decently priced one for 100$ and it’s got some wear to it. I was wondering if I should buy it? I’m going down at 6:30pm today to look at it.

What will you be using this Trek for? I’m guessing you’re planning to do some mountain biking, since you posted this in this sub. That bike is not ready to be taken off pavement, just by looking at those tires. If you want to go offroading, that $100 bike will set you back at least another $50 just for some cheap 26″ tires that you’ll install yourself, or pay someone to do it. Very narrow handlebars and brakes may also be less ideal. And who knows about that old fork’s performance. Maybe $40 for city use?
Is your intent to mtn bike with it? if so id advise against it, this bike immediately needs tires and probably more wear items replaced. It is also very outdated tech, while V-Breaks work ok disc are much much better. this bike would be best suited to gravel/dirt pathways and rail trails. considering purchase price and maintenance needs you will easily be into this bike for $250. you should be able to get a more modern bike for that price.
