I bought a new derailleur and cables for my 90s mtb and the ferrules for the shift cable housing is too small for cable stop on the frame. Is this ok or will it cause problems shifting?
I cant find any larger ferrules online, the cable stop diameter is ~7mm. Any solutions?

Maybe put a brake cable ferrule there as a literal stopgap solution perhaps 🙂
