Get a [Brass Downtube Shifter Boss Cover](https://velo-orange.com/products/brass-downtube-shifter-boss-cover?srsltid=AfmBOopXZx2wT517Et4XZYuZRHeESlaTKiNHeNZln_ylzX2D-9SLO0nz). It would look awesome on that silver blue frame and match the gold lettering nicely.
I have a bell on mine, it’s a perfect spot for it
You could rig it to work a bell. Mount the bell where your front derailleur would go. Something like a twist bell or one of those that has a lever and sounds like an old phone would probably work best.
nice bike. i’ve always wanted to rig up a bell that can be mounted there and triggered from the handlebars via a cable. it’s easy to mount a bell there but i never got around to the cable activation part yet. maybe you can figure it out!
I put a cable there. I totally get 1x on off-road setups running chain guides or on frames not designed for a front derailleur, but I don’t see the point of it otherwise. I guess you save a few bucks on a shifter and derailleur? Happy to be enlightened, lemme have it.
