I'm bike shopping and came across these:

https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/pre-owned-bikes/pre-owned-electric-bikes/rail-9-8-xt-gen-4–2024-x-large/p/61687/?colorCode=red

There are a dozen of them, all with less than 1 mile on the odometer and deeply discounted.

Anyone have any experience with ordering pre-owned from them? Seems like a sweetheart of a deal to me for basically brand new bikes with the 30 day no hassle returns if I'm not happy?

  1. I bought a Fuel EX8 demo bike from a shop in late 2018 ish. Few scratches here and there. Nothing crazy. Still have it with no issues but needing tires. It was over 30% off so I could settle for some scratches.

I’d probably take my chances at that discount and use it as much as possible in 30 days to shake it down.

  2. Loving my Gen 6 Slash that was marked down over $2,000. I had the bike shipped to a local FedEx store. They weren’t pleased by Lithium batteries inside, but took it anyway. It’s been good so far. 🤷‍♂️

I bought a used Top Fuel 7 off their website, arrived at my doorstep like 2 days later. Definitely worth the savings and I would certainly do it again. Still comes with a full warranty too

Just bought a Remedy via red barn. Pretty happy with quality after building it up. Seems like these bikes weren’t just some Joe-shmo bikes but maybe employee owned or employee fleet bikes. The 30 day trial along with lifetime warranty is reassuring that they’re not some clapped out trash.
