Not quite sure about this frame (probably the huge trek logo lol), was a marketplace find I couldn’t resist grabbing for mostly the parts but also it’s my size. Anyone else got a similar build to inspire me to get this going?

Seems like they still use the same alpha aluminium but again correct me if I’m wrong 🤷🏻♂️

Why wouldn’t you build it up? It’ll take you 15 minutes to finish the build from here. Then ride it around and see how you like it

Dude, do it, but please don’t put another square taper and make it a 1x drive train. Change the bars. Keep the wheels. I like the seat and seat post but not sure on that stem. I actually like the paint job but I repaint all of mine mainly cause they need it. Here are my Six that I need to start once the weather is good so I can strip the paint and sand outside
The one on the end is already sanded is a Trek 4300. There is a Specialized, Gary Fisher Tassahara, Cannondale Trail,Diamond back and my favorite, a ‘97-‘98 GT Timberline.

I had a 7300? Got it for parts for $100, took off the good stuff (rolf wheels etc) for my trek 730, put entry level stuff back on, sold it for $100 haha

Nice, looks to be in great shape.
I’d build it.
That was my first real mountain bike.
Build it up
