I think I got myself a good deal, any frame and fork with reynolds 531 for £20 in decent condition has to be somewhat of an Ok deal?..

Pretty happy with it nonetheless, don’t know much about British eagle (its a British eagle shadow excuse my poor photography skills) but the mtbs seem slightly few and far between. I wouldn’t particularly say rare or exceptionally valuable but still pretty cool and not your average rockhopper.

Not sure if this is actually vintage but I think its got to be late 80s early 90s which would make it.. almost vintage? And Im not completely sure but I think it was made in england, wales although I’ve struggled to find info on these bikes so sort of just a guess

Very tempted to have some disc tabs welded but its in quite nice condition and would be a shame to ruin the pain, potentially going to try some magura’s although I haven’t had great experiences with them previously

It also has an odd seatpost size, I can’t remember exactly what I measured but I think it was 26.8 or 26.6, it proved difficult to find a seatpost in the right size with minimal branding at least

Any suggestions for a loud / high engagement and somewhat old wheelset to look out for? My buddy has a set of rolf’s which are very cool keeping an eye out for some of those

The tyre clearance in both the frame and fork is amazing, ill easily fit 2.3 and might even try some 650b wheels with 2.0 for size

Any info on this bike or brand in general would be interesting but im only really posting to chat about and admire my new purchase. Or slate it if you see fit! Cheers ❤️
