My brand new sturmey-archer freewheel keeps dropping my brand new chain. I dont know whether this freewheel is for 1/8 or some other sized chain because I had this freewheel installed at a LBS and I didnt realize that I would need to know.
I have however had prior experience of LBS selling me a 3/32nd freewheel and tell me *it’ll be fine* with my 1/8th chain. It was not fine; I dropped my chain several times before I got a 1/8th freewheel which solved the problem.
Anything written on the part in question?

It’s not like it’s going anywhere 🤷♂️

1/8” chains are usually compatible with 3/32” cogs (not the other way around, obviously.) Only reason you’d be dropping chains on a single speed is if your chain is too loose, and/or your chain line is way off.

I don’t know about the sizing of your freewheel.
