  1. Shimano chains of the ultegra level are high quality assuming the ones you have are not terribly worn. I would say they would offer the best shifting due to the previously mentioned high quality.

    Wipperman Connex 10SX or 10WAX are my picks if price is no object. The wax one saves a step if you were going to strip and wax anyhow. Their master links are tool free and explicitly reusable.

    Definitely whichever of the Ultegra chains is in the best condition. KMC is great, Ultegra and DA is more reliable.

    I prefer SRAM’s nickel-plated rust-resistant PC-1051 chain. In my experience it’s a nicer chain than Shimano’s 10sp chains.
