I would love to see the Sturgeon I catch on the Fraser River….but the water isn't as clear. SO COOL 🙂👍

Paste is too stiff in my opinion, all those fish playing with that ball of paste would have been nailed if that had been sloppy (using a big eyed hook and a large tag end to help keep it on).
You'd probably be better off by "matching the hatch" and using micros as paste, they're more denser and don't break down as fast as groundbait
great video, in what month was this filmed ?
Them fish just can’t get anything bigger than a micro in its Parrett mouth
Like a tropical aquarium with the rudd
The 6mm pellets made such a difference because the fish couldn't physically get them in their mouths, an unfortunate result of years of yank and bank angling on an overstocked venue. Thank god for overpriced syndicates, great vid and good to see how heavily pressured fish respond.
Feed small balls of micros and gbait
I hated fishing paste,and now I hate it more😂
Would be interesting to see hard pellet fishing with paste moulded around the pellet.
Great Vid!! try Feeding Ground Bait,Take the shot off the main line and use the paste to set the float.
Great vid the one thing i noticed watching the ones with the ruined mouths could not suck it up but the healthy mouthed ones hovered it up
If Callum dicks is being sincere on this video, nothing against him but how can he not know what he was doing was completely wrong. Whenever fishing paste with micros, 100% micro pellet paste out fishes any other paste going. Full stop, and if you have trouble foul hooking or missed bites, no micros and fish a sloppy paste on its own.
Must agree fish mouths in dreadful conditions
The mouths on the majority of those carp made it so the could only feed on micros and was really slim and not feed like a normal carp would .
Great film guys, a real eyes opener 👍👍👍
So what have we learnt. Feed micros….. fish a 6mm on the hair…. Throw the paste into the bin. Oh and go somewhere where the fish don’t look like they’ve been landed by a 747 at top speed. Poor fish 😔
Jamie’s had that pen in his hand so long he must be writing his chippy order for lunch. 😂
Great video allways learning 👍
Why not starting with paste and no pellets?
that has blown my mind being a paste angler for years that blew loads of myths and things i thouight was going on . get a good bed of hemp down there with a bit of groundbait in with some balls of paste and they will be ravenous . i dont like the hook wanting too pull through paste all time so i usually lay on 2-4 inches on bottom with a bit of rig putty too anchor it down. i find i get much more possitive bites from that anyway that was amazing lads sorry iam late too party
the fish didn't like the bait. They ate everything but the paste. They looked at it and ignored it. change paste colour or taste
Great video guys fish paste quite a lot and i have found over the years that red krill paste works in situations like the one in the video🤐
try rolling paste in micros befor put in
It's interesting that the rudd show almost no interest in the paste. That might be the answer to a big problem at a water I fish at! They are like piranhas on any other bait.
Can you do one for soft paste fishing please ?
Fascinating video! This video provides an opportunity to understand fish behavior, what happens at the bottom, and what needs to be done! Thank you for such an experience.
Change the colour of paste.
Great video but shocked at the state of the carps' mouths. Might be easier if fishing paste for fish that can actually open their mouths!
Great job guys – posed with the question what I'd do… I'd stick a band'um on and have done with it, but then I only usually fish paste when hunting for Barbell – and Im never successful with it either…. 🤣 At least now I know why, I'll definitely be using this approach now I've seen you guys do it, just for a bit of an experiment !
Don't even want to mention the look of the fish, I'm just back to fishing 7/8 months after a 25 year break – and it's really sad to see this…. Definitely not something you used to see .. I'd be intrigued to know why this is something you only see in certain places … and what it takes to prevent this happening, as it's really sad to see such a negative effect, from something we do for fun.
The tench look fine, is that just because they aren't fished for, or because when they are fished for, it's not on rope with with massive hooks?
In any case – fish are bell ends 🤣
Brilliant video I always feed what I put on the hook feed small bits of paste with micro pellets
Hello ,try moving the bulk shots to about 4 inches from the paste to nail it on the deck . then add the micros to the paste ,dont loose feed ….
