A lovely lane in Buckinghamshire, not too technical but twists and turns its way through woodland for over two kilometres. As far as I can ascertain it is named Ramscote Lane for its entire length, although some sources show that as just the tarmac and the hjard packed mettalled lane at the western end. Once you hit dirt it becomes Chartridge Byway 38A then at some point in the woods, Cholesbury Cum St Leonards Byway 53. But locally it’s known as ‘Ostrich Farm’ I can only guess this is because the farm towards the eastern end actually farms ostriches. Or maybe did, because in the many years I have been riding this lane, i’ve never ever seen one!
