They’ll never get made because they only seem like a good idea if you don’t think about owning it for more than a second. Imagine having to commit to a bar design, stem design, stem length and bike compute all in one purchase. And, if you want to change any of those you’ll need to replace all of them. It makes no sense for consumers, or for manufactures.

when my Garmin dies, I’m never buying a $400+ bike computer again. The ones out of china work fine…. I don’t need handlebars for $2k +…. but that’s me.

Here is the truth about the road bike industry, it is driven by the pro peloton. It really is. All the innovation in these super high end road bikes, starts, and ends, in the pro peloton. That is just how it goes. If one of these brands wants to launch a new, mass market product, they need to get it into the TDF.
Now, think about some tech like this if you are a pro, or a pro team. You *need* that computer on the bike, right? It is a requirement in todays sport. You *need* the data.
Think of how often a pro rider will swap a bike. Often, very often. Sometimes, multiple times a race. You know what they do for every single bike swap? *They take their computer with them*, because they *need* the data to win races.
Not some of the data, not the 1 minute power, or the 5 minute power, *all* the data, from that entire race. And, those computers are programmed and set up for each individual rider. Each rider needs *their* computer on their bike, and their bikes change, *all the time.*
This product is a nonstarter, because it will *never* see use in the pro peloton, ever. It is far to impractical.
