Any reason I can’t or shouldn’t convert this 1975 Panasonic 500 sport to a single speed?
I plan to use the existing 27” wheels for now using a conversion kit for the rear cassette. I also plan to get a new crankset.

I’ve seen it done hundreds of times. Just make sure you have a good chainline

I think would be considering as an insult if dont! That frame looks in pretty good shape to be converted. Pay attention to the chainline
