I just wanted to share with you all how I solved the – downtube shifters are too low for my liking – problem. It works flawlessly and very much suits my needs, for me it's more stable over bumpy roads, because I can rest my palm on the tube, more precise from the same reason, it doesn't obstruct my knees in free movement and it is just closer, especially when I hold the handelbars on top. To make it, it needed some DIY solutions, but it stays at it's place, because I made rectangular shape hole there. It is a daily commuter city bike.
