So for context I got a new stem today. Took my headset out gave it a clean regressed and put all back on. But my headset cap was abit too big so I put a smaller one on where the stem works so I did that and everything went on smoothly. Did a few spins of the bars to see if everything was okay and it’s making this sound in the video. But everything is smooth no rough patches or spots just a little sound. I’m running the bsd stack headset (the small one) and cult invest cast forks if that helps with solving the issue. But is it safe and okay for the headset bearings? And you for your time and help much appreciated 🙂
Is this safe and okay for the headset?

Grab the frame, then pull the handle bars back and forth. If you feel any play, it’s not back together correctly. You might need more space from the top of your stem cap to the thread in your steer tube. Add another spacer to the steering tube, and you should be good.
There is a little spacer that goes in the bearing on the very top headset bearing called a compression ring. Each one is specifically made to be the height appropriate for the headset spacer you run on top of it and usually why I always suggest running the same frame headset and bottom brackets as the frame. There is a chance the headset spacer is rubbing against the frame
