Hey y'all. I'm new cycling. I have been sent some bikes by friends who I trust, but am unsure which model would be better for a beginner.
Endurance CF 7: https://www.canyon.com/en-us/road-bikes/endurance-bikes/endurace/cf/endurace-cf-7/3707.html?dwvar_3707_pv_rahmenfarbe=R076_P06&dwvar_3707_pv_rahmengroesse=M#reviewsSlidesAnchor
Ultimate CF SL 7 AXS: https://www.canyon.com/en-us/road-bikes/race-bikes/ultimate/cf-sl/ultimate-cf-sl-7-axs/3853.html?dwvar_3853_pv_rahmenfarbe=R101_P04&dwvar_3853_pv_rahmengroesse=M
I'm appreciative of any advice you guys may have. I have a little bit of understanding on the difference between the two, but no real experience to help make a decision.
Thanks!

Totally depends on your budget and desired kind of rides in the end.
The endurace is a really great bike in that config. Comfortable, cheaper components so maintenance is easier and cheaper, and overall a much more accommodating geometry. so overall imo the best “first bike”. You can always build upon this by getting nicer tires and wheels as you get more into the sport.
The ultimate however is overall just “nicer” if you already caught the bug, and want a faster more race like bike this will be more like it. It’s lighter, stiffer, and lets you get more aerodynamic. Electronic gears are also really nice, but much more expensive if anything ever breaks.
IMO, unless you’re really dedicated to spend 50% more and plan on riding this bike a shit ton for the next 5 years, get the endurace. Use the spare budget for nice tires, wheels, and a bike fit. This will in the end make much more or a difference than the frame geometry and electronic shifting.
Compare the geometry here btw:

You’ll see that the endurace is a bit higher and shorter. Which generally speaking lets you ride in a slightly more upright position which trades of some aero gains for comfort.
