they can be installed with either orientation, just gotta route the hoses to either the left or right lever accordingly
you can tell your mechanic how you want them oriented when you get them installed

Usually they are not connected when you buy them (the hoses are plugged and there is oil inside them)
You can choose which lever you connect to which calliper, so you can do the moto-style or the “bike-style” ones too
If you are careful, you dont need to bleed them after installing either

You can just swap the hoses around. More than likely you will want to cut at least the rear brake hose for length even if you don’t have to cut it to run it through the frame so you will be halfway there anyway.
