Sorry, this is my first post. I wrote the text out but it didn’t get posted. Anyway, I got it today and the guy told me it was a Hard Rock. It has been painted over with flat black and I hesitate to use stripper in case the underlying paint is still in decent shape. I want to find a serial number; it doesn’t look like it is engraved anywhere on the frame. Also I would like to know if the brakes on it now can be converted to v-brakes. I have most of the tools and work on my own bike and for friends. however this is my first time building from a bare frame. There are some very cool builds on here. Thank you for any help you can provide.
