Lovely village in our Family History. Grandad was born in Bridge Street. His Dad was born in Crook, and he worked for his Uncle Thomas Young in the 'Flour/Post Office, etc' in Howden Le Wear. Andrew Young's son, Robert White Young. Our Grandad was Walter Lawrence Young. I never did find out where his middle name came from. Sometimes the middle name was from the Mother's surname.
