Picked up our new Co-Motion Java in August and made our way through the middle of Oregon, up into Washington and around the Olympic Peninsula, before exploring Vancouver Island. North America was absolutely magical – met so many kind and interesting people, beautiful flowers everywhere and only one day of light rain. 23 days of riding, 1200km and 7,300m elevation, powered by lots of blackberries, bagels and burritos among other things!
Bike is now safe at home in Australia. Next year, we might take the bike to Japan, now that it’s legal to ride tandems there nationwide….

Looks like a brilliant trip. Touring on a tandem must open up more conversations as well!
