No harm done and that’s usually the only way to do it with these integrated headsets/spacers.
You can play with spacer height until you find the height you like and then cut it flush or just leave it be in case you’re concerned about resell.

Just curious, are those the FSA spacers? Because I’ve had a heck of a time trying to find those lately too

I think there is an opportunity here. Maybe mount a rubber duck too. Oh and no prob with round spacers

Nothing wrong at all. Some people may be a bit uptight and moan that it would spoil the look of it but if you don’t mind that there is no functional reason at all.
